Introducing The Energy Embrace

Instructions:

  • Stand 6 feet or more away from your recipient

  • With eyes open or shut, find love for that person

  • With arms stretched out or to your side

  • Visualize, feel, or simply pretend (fake it till you make it) sending your loving energy to the recipient

  • You can take turns or send love simultaneously

  • Picture your loving energy wrapping around them like a hug

  • PAUSE here for a moment to take in the person’s essence and beauty

  • Stay until you can sense the connection, 2-10 seconds should be fine

  • The magic happens in the pause — The pause gives time to feel the unseen energy between you

  • YES! this can be done as a group “hug”

  • Pass it on! We are stronger when we are connected!

It’s OKAY to be Hesitant:

We all learn and open up to learning in a variety of ways. This practice may be a delightful invitation you want to jump into or it may bring up feelings for you of; overwhelm, fear, anxiety, insecurity. And there may be thoughts of skepticism; weird, whacked, not to be trusted, strange, or corny. And there may be labels; new age, hippie, or flower child.

And that is just fine! 

Just go at your own speed, maybe you last 3 seconds or 10! Just see if you can keep opening and keep going back and engaging. You can even do this with your imagination where you imagine you are hugging a person! You can start with a tree or animal friend to build up the courage to do so in person. The important pieces are that you stay playful within any range of your emotions and keep participating because this simple practice is necessary in today’s world. Why? Because we are not solo creatures, we are beings that are meant for interaction, to collaborate in many areas. Some areas are necessity; to build shelter, food, etc., and some are social; to dance, share conversation, celebrations, and losses. We can uplift each other for sure, and starting with ourselves we can use this to practice (technique) with imagining ourselves outward of 6 feet and Energy Embracing ourselves. If it is easier on you, you can place a photo of yourself just arm’s distance away and try it that way.

Whatever you come up with to begin this practice to build towards doing it with another is perfect! Trust what comes to you!

15-minute organ meridian visualization + Microcosmic orbit

This recording was created for my students, but anyone is welcome to listen. Students can use it to learn about the flow of the 12 organ meridians, along with their associated elements, seasons, and emotions. Visualizing the tracing of the meridians on the body can help increase energy. Conversely, visualizing them in reverse can calm the system, making it easier to sleep at night or take a nap. At the end of the recording, Tonia discusses the governing and conception vessels and combines these meridians with the Microcosmic Orbit, originally taught by Mantak Chia.
